"I Shot the Sheriff" by Eric Clapton

I listen to this song a lot. It is a really enjoyable a tune. I had no idea that Bob Marley originally did it till a couple a years ago. Eric Clapton is a genius guitarist and he has some of the best songs ever. This song is in specific is nothing crazy but has a really jazzy guitar. A bunch of really nice riffs and steady beat make this a great song. The story that is told is really fun and simple. Basically it tells the story of a young trouble maker who has a sherif that has it out for him. Then one day the sherif came to shoot him down but the trouble maker shoots him down first. Gives some really cool old western vibes. 10/10 song recommend you add it to a playlist.

  1. I agree with your analysis of the song. I think that even though the story in the song is fun and simple, the song itself is still complex. It is an amazing thing that artists can do! Great job on this analysis!
