"Nague" Machito and His AfroCubans

This song is nothing like I've wrote on earlier. It may use the same instruments as Jazz but it has its own unique sound. It is also sung in Spanish so that is different. Machito uses Cuban influence here and combines it with swing. I really quite enjoy this song, it has a nice rhythm. There is drums keeping a fast beat. It makes you want to get up and dance. So it begins as brass instruments blare to start off with a bang. Then he sings real jazzy and mostly says "Nague". There is also an accompanying group of people that will sing in the back. It sounds like African tribal music when they chime in.

This is the first song that is not sung in English I have wrote a blog on. But it also is my favourite out of all of them. It incorporates the best parts of jazz and swing then adds the latino flavour. It really does just make me want to dance. Also the video is a cool touch. When it comes time for a group of instruments the camera will pan to them. Then he will continue and sing. It makes for a great video and song.

  1. I love your analysis on "Nague", I also really enjoyed this song and how they started it off with a bang, making it so the listeners attention is really and truly secured. I loved how you added the video into your blog, I had not seen it earlier and it added a new dimension to the song that made me enjoy it even more.
